Despite all of these interests, I constantly feel frustrated. Frustrated because I want to have a hobby. Do something outside of work that makes me happy, keeps me interested, and lets me be creative. Shouldn't be a problem right? I have a laundry list of things I could do to be creative and pursue a passion. Well, that's the problem, I have so many things I *could* do that I end up not doing anything.
I'm not an introvert. I'm typically gregarious and have been known to talk a fair amount. Those around me are well aware of my struggle. What have people said to me? Good question. I've heard everything from "you have a problem, you need to pick something and just focus on that" to "you know, you're passionate about so much, I wish I was like that."
I finally came to the conclusion that it's OK to be passionate about a lot of things. It's OK to have a lot of interests, I just needed a way to harness them. I needed a way to pull them all together...and here it is; a blog (and at times, a cathartic exercise...sorry!).
This will be a blog about all things geeky. Whether I love it or hate it, regardless of fandom, it will likely end up here. Simon Pegg said it best...
